Welcome to The Elephant Shop, a creative education and resource shop by Elephant Song Doula Services.
I'm Kieashia DeShawn, founder of Elephant Song Doula Services, a community-centered practice rooted in education, advocacy, and the belief that families deserve access to the knowledge and support they need to make informed decisions.
For more than two decades, I've worked alongside families through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and the transition into parenthood. My work has also extended into perinatal health education, community programming, professional development, and efforts to make maternal health information more accessible and useful to the people who need it.
Over the years, I've accumulated a lot of knowledge, created a lot of resources, and learned that information is most powerful when people can actually use it.
That's where The Elephant Song Studio comes in.

The resources in this shop are informed by years of hands-on doula work, community education, and a deep commitment to perinatal health. They reflect the questions families ask, the information people need but don't always know where to find, and the importance of making education approachable and practical.
I believe useful information shouldn't be limited to people who can hire a doula, attend a particular class, or access a specific program. While no downloadable guide can replace individualized care or professional support when those are needed, the right resource can help you ask better questions, explore your options, prepare for important conversations, and feel more confident about your next steps.
That's why I'm building this collection: to make knowledge easier to access and put to use.
